The Institute of Cancer Research in the UK plan to set up a large database to organize and explore data sets of cancer samples to better understand how these cells adapt. This effort could prolong cancer patients and discover new drugs.

Creating databases is a great way to tackle cancer. It allows for technologies to increase the effectiveness of treatment for patients. This is a huge step that can possibly lead to finding a cure.

The Tumor Profiting Unit facility is a great use of today's technology. The Unit is determined to find cures for various cancers that can save many lives, or at best, prolong their lives by years. Cancer no longer needs to be a death sentence.

If successful, the technological advances being made towards creating a DNA database would be monumental. Being such a common and deadly disease, if there was a way to treat cancer or, better yet, a way to prevent cancer, the effects would be unbelievable

This is a great use of technology for a great cause that has the potential to make a big impact. A DNA database would allow the Institute for Cancer Research to identify cancer causing genes, making it quicker to develop new drugs.

This is a very positive move for the Institute for Cancer Research because it is another step to dig deeper into the mystery of cancer. Creating this database will make it easier for them to compare samples side by side which will benefit the research.
