An ER physician talks about the issues of prescription drug abuse and comes up with an idea to create a database for a physician to have knowledge of previous visits to clinics and hospitals as well as prescriptions that a patient may have received.

Let us tenderly and kindly cherish, therefore, the means of knowledge. Let us dare to read, think, speak, and write.

I think that this is a good way to stop people from going to multiple places to get more drugs. It will also help people see they have a problem.

I think that this is a great way to help with abuse of prescription drugs. If we can get more knowledge about who is getting their hands on these drugs we can track where these drugs are going. This will help minimize drug use.

This is a great way to stop the abuse of these types of drugs, and it's nice to see databases being used in a way that is actually beneficial for the physical health of people.

I think something like this has already been created because for certain prescriptions, pharmacies will not give you another if you have not yet finished the first. They have the date you received the prescription in their computer.

While this won't eliminate prescription drug use, this a start in the right direction and can help out a lot of people

This is a great way to control and reduce drug abuse. The database will benefit both, physicians and patients, making it harder for patients to abuse prescription drugs.

I agree with this article fighting against the abuse of drugs. It's always great to see when physicians encourages their patients not to take prescription drugs and build up their immune system without the drugs.
