This marketing strategy is very effective and properly timed. Apple's strategy is spot on.

This seems like a bad idea to me. I think the rumored iWatch is much anticipated and customers may not buy the iPhone mini to see what a new product such as the iWatch is like.

I am curious to see how this works out. I feel like it makes the company look desperate by simply creating a mini version rather than coming out with a whole new product.

I think this is a great idea for people who want Apple products and dont want to spend alot of money but it may hurt Apples high-quality and high-priced reputation.

Interesting, but will a more affordable phone lead to a lessened quality of products? I worry that Apple, who prides itself on top-notch hardware, may lose some of its allure by cheapening a product like the iPhone.

The price of the iPhone is significantly higher abroad. This has prevented the iPhone from getting a foothold in emerging markets like China and Russia when compared with Samsung. If this long rumored cheaper iPhone is launched, I wonder how it will sell

I think the more affordable phone is great, it could potentially open up new markets for apple.
